Marek Grubel: TITS Brand
Marek Grubel is the owner and founder of TITS Brand (Two In The Shirt) clothing. Created and founded in August 2006 with the focus of bringing tasteful yet proactive images to the forefront of fashion. The brand is releasing it’s Summer ’09 collection this June and had a very successful Spring ’09 season and showed at Seattle Fashion Week in April.
-How does your line set itself apart from other lines?
We put nude women as the focus of our design on our shirts, I don’t know of any other line that does that. Most brands are logo based or a visual eyesore.
-Where is your line carried?
We have over 350 accounts worldwide. Key accounts are Metropark, Karmaloop.com, Mixunit.com, and countless boutiques
-What are your thoughts about the Seattle fashion scene?
Seattle actually has a very original scene that doesn’t follow trends but carves its own niche. The brands I feel are worth mentioning are Manik and Good and Flying Coffin
-Has the economy had much of an impact on your sales?
No affect what so ever, sex sells, even better in a recession!!! Our sales have tripled.
-What are your long term goals for your company?
We want to be a household name!

Is this brand women-friendly? I would imagine with the label called TITS and graphic designs with nude women alienate women from purchasing this line. Are there any thoughts on this?
Please, can we leave the prudery out? Those images are tasteful and gorgeous. Why wouldn’t a woman wear something that obviously glorifies the female form? And glorify these clothes do. I love them -the images – and I’ve seen enough muffin tops to know there isn’t a lot that would alienate women. Can we leave the more intense PC attitudes out of art? Censorship doesn’t do art any favors. I thought Marek is a female name….
Lately, I didn???ê?èt give lots of consideration to leaving feedback on site page reports and have placed responses even less. Reading through your pleasant content material, will aid me to do so sometimes.
