Eye Shadow Tutorial: Prominent Eyes
Women with prominent eyes are lucky- they have a lot of space to get creative with eye color! They can also use bold, dark colors without fear of over-powering their eyes! To enhance large eye without making them look bigger, matte shadows are best suited for this task. Here’s how!

Applying Eye Makeup for Prominent Eyes
- Apply a medium neutral shadow over the entire eye.
- Apply a darker neutral shadow over the entire eyelid from lashes to the crease. Blend upward and outward to brow bone. Avoid shimmery or frosted shadows.
- Apply darkest neutral shadow over mobile lid and extend down under eye.
- Line eyes with corrdinating liner on top and bottom. Smudge to soften.
Since prominent eyes need to use more than two colors to create the effect you want, I recommend purchasing an eye shadow trio or a quad! Lancome, Jane Iredale, Dior, Sephora and Dolce and Gabanna make some great color options!
Hollywood hotties Madonna, Bette Davis and Angelina Jolie are great examples of prominent eyes!
