Street gypsy was Blayne Walsh’s inspiration for Spring 2010′s Richard Blayne collection. The collection presented on the runway contained a plethora of looks for both, men and women; however, these looks are definitely not meant for the faint of heart.

SFW 2010: House of Versatile Styles

Washington, D.C. based designer, Bukola Are’s design label, House of Versatile Styles, is just that. The line offers day wear, evening wear, fun-in-the sun wear, and a night-on-the town wear. First, served up are bright colors. A hot pink shift dress with bright blue baby collar (not to mention that the models were wearing a similar shade of blue on her lips) was about fun and not shying away from colors.

Seattle Fashion Week received a dose of Bollywood glamour when Bisma Ahmed presented her B’ZMA line. The Pakistani-born, Dubai-based designer infused both South Asian and Western elements into her clothing. Her highly praised “SMAXI” is a perfect example of such a combination at work.

Sarah Harris’ Cocoa Couture exuded European elegance when presented at Seattle Fashion Week. Models sported bouffant-style side ponytails and strutted to music that could easily have blared in Parisian jazz clubs back in the 1960s.

Banchong Douangphrachanh presented her menswear line, also known as the Regetta Line, at 2010′s Seattle Fashion Week. The designer has experienced national exposure with some of her work featured in Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” video and the designer again made waves in Seattle with her thoughtful and solid runway show.

SFW 2010: Isaiah Whitmore

Models’ eyes were rimmed heavily with black eyeliner and lips were painted black (a trend seen during New York Fashion week). Rihanna’s “Rockstar 101″ blared as the models swaggered down the runway and it is easy to see Rihanna herself sporting Isaiah Whitmore’s deconstructed rockstar glam looks. The 24 looks presented was about confidence and risk.
