Tina started glam.spoon with the intentions of being just another reorganization project. While browsing through her closet she founds several pieces that has never been worn, she retrieved her sewing maching from storage and a habit was formed….
Kim has lived most of her adult life in an urban setting in Seattle. She has grown a huge appreciation of the rise of Eco-consciousness happening in Seattle. The ‘greening’ of the clothing market has allowed her to indulge in her passion of using repurposed materials, resulting in hand-made, one of a kind Eco Chic designs.
Beki Wilson was originally taught to sew by her stylish mother, and was sewing her own creations by the age of 13. In the year 2000, lots of life experiences later, daughter in tow, and no college degree in sight, Out of Line was founded. After 7 years of self teaching, bootstrap pulling, and some success, it was on the The New York Fashion Academy to further her design skills. Out of Line infuses classic shapes, clean design, and modern detail. Designed for girls that like to dress up…and down.
Shannon grew up with frequent trips to the Hawaiian Island of Maui where she was enthralled with the ocean and beachers and of course the bikini. A six month trip to South America opened her eyes to the sexy cut and bare-it-all beach worshipers of Argentina and Brazil. Shannon went onto design swimwear brought from around the world to create fun, stylish and unique bikini’s for today’s sun loving girls.
When did you fall in love with fashion?
I fell in love with fashion as a toddler. I remember dressing up in all of my mom’s jewelry at once, and being jealous that only big girls could wear high heels.
Define the word beauty.
To me beauty, at least beauty as perceived by the visual sense, is what one feels when one sees a special harmony of attributes such as color, texture, contrast, arrangement, proportion, movement, and unity. The perception of that harmony, of beauty, gives the beholder a feeling of interest and awe which is pleasing because it is a new, different, or rare experience.
Define the word beauty?
I would define beauty as, “a person or entity that is pleasing to YOUR eye and spirit.”
