Artisan Collection is the company of designer Kristin Connors who travels to Bali Indonesia to work with 17 plus skilled Artisans. There she translates Balinese craftsmanship into fashion forward handbags and sterling jewelry. Kristin was formally trained as a Fashion and Costume designer at London College of Fashion and Hornsey College of Art and received her masters degree in Theatrical design in London England. After moving back to the US she worked as a Production Designer, Art Director and Costume Designer in the Entertainment and Film Industry in Los Angeles CA.

Alonys is a self taught artist. To regain sanity in an insane world, she began to express her thoughts and life in the form of abstract art. Simply beginning on supermarket paper bags, her work blossomed when it reached canvas of all sizes. She developed her style with acrylic paint, and began to add anything she could find around her to create original mixed media pieces. Surrounded by the entertainment industry, a major element in her art entails the use of vinyl records, cd’s, and clothing…

Who are your influences?

My influences are more what than whom… Old movies, traveling, people-watching, art museums, nature.

Define the word beauty.

Beauty can be anyone’s own version of what they consider beautiful. What I find beautiful is nature, the way colors come together to create a beautiful flower or how fall brings in these fabulous leafs and tree tones on the hillsides of the NW. I also love the beach or Puget Sound now that is spanking BEAUTIFUL.
