I am in LOOOUVE with the stylish diggs of Charlotte Rust. Charlotte is a stylist and vintage store owner from Auckland, New Zealand. Her home was featured on The Selby. Below are a few of my favorite pics. See the rest of her pad HERE.
I love this video because of its modest message: you do not need much to be happy. All you need is passion and a roof over your head…even if that roof can seem dauntingly close sometimes. Felice Cohen allowed cameras into her 90-square-foot apartment to give viewers a taste of her ability to economize. Yeah it’s really that small!
When I read the title to this post on Refinery 29 I was instantly claustrophobic. But Felice, being a professional organizer/writer, has turned this exceptionally small space in New York City into an actual livable situation. GO GIRL!
New York has always been something of fantasy of mine…you know if I ever get really rich and could afford to live there. But this video proves that if you really want to live in the big city well then, it can happen.
Felice still pays $700 bucks a month, which to me seems like a steep price for…um an apartment the size of my closet in Seattle. But I have to remember its New York. I can’t image what a “real” one-bedroom apartment would cost me. Jeeze. Take a look (below)
This amazing apartment is dedicated to my very best friend Anna. Her apartment in Bellingham, Washington is similar and comparable to a hippie oasis. Anna has put a lot of time and effort into her living quarters (maybe she will even take some pictures for me to post??) and I know she will appreciate this inspiration to help her continue to grow her own space.
